Acute respiratory infections(ARI), which can include symptoms such as coughing, sore throat, nasalobstruction, and fever, are common diseases treated in primary medical care.Whilst these infections often manifest mild symptoms, early detection ordiagnosis allows timely intervention through appropriate treatment and wherewarranted, deters any possible outbreak of transmissible pathogens throughmitigation efforts.

Current gold standard indiagnosis and surveillance of respiratory pathogens employs reversetranscriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), which is a laboratory-basedassay. We are having a study to evaluate a self-administering rapid test kit forthe detection of four common respiratory pathogens (SARS-CoV-2, RespiratorySyncytial Virus (RSV), Influenza A and Influenza B) with nasal swab. Resultsgenerated from the study would be informative on the performance of the testkit.
