Asian Skin Biobank and Model Development
The Asian Skin Biobank provides well-characterized human skin samples of Asian origin, supported by rigorous ethical governance and quality control. These samples enable the development of customizable 2D, 3D, and ex-vivo human skin models, as well as standardized and tailored assays to study all aspects of skin health and disease. Together, the platform enables human-relevant discovery and accelerates translation and industry research.

Skin Omics
The Skin OMICS Platform leverages mass spectrometry instruments to measure small molecules (metabolites) related to skin conditions in solid (e.g., skin tapes, biopsies) or liquid (e.g., exudate) samples. The platform also supports novel bioactive discovery, including microbiome-derived molecules with potential applications across skin ageing, inflammation, pigmentation and hair biology.

Single-Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics
The Bioinformatics Consulting and Training Platform (BISCUITS) develops and applies computational approaches to understand how cells are organised, regulated and altered in health and disease. Using next-generation sequencing, single-cell genomics and spatial transcriptomics, we turn complex genomic datasets into meaningful biological insights. Working with scientists, clinicians and technology platforms, our research spans discovery and translational applications. We also build capability through bioinformatics training and collaborative research.
