CFAR RESEARCHERS AMONG THE WORLD'S TOP 2% SCIENTISTS IDENTIFIED BY STANFORD UNIVERSITY

Top 2% Scientists from Stanford Study

In a recent study by Stanford University, six scientists from A*STAR’s Centre for Frontier AI Research (CFAR) were featured among the World's Top 2% Scientists List.

List of CFAR scientists (in no particular order):

    ScientistSubject Field
Prof Ivor TsangArtificial Intelligence & Image Processing
Prof Ong Yew-SoonArtificial Intelligence & Image Processing
Dr Basura FernandoArtificial Intelligence & Image Processing
Dr Li XiaoliArtificial Intelligence & Image Processing
Dr Lim Joo HweeArtificial Intelligence & Image Processing
Dr Chen ZhenghuaElectrical & Electronic Engineering

The study led by scientists from Stanford University has published a list comprising the top 2% of scientists in various scientific fields. The list was created by Professor John P. A. Ioannidis from Stanford University and his research team. It contains a publicly available database of 100,000 top scientists that provides standardised information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator.

Updated databases and code are freely available in Mendeley. The original database (version 1) can also be found at https://data.mendeley.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/1, the updated (version 2) can also be found at https://data.mendeley.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/2, and any subsequent updates that might appear in the future will be generally accessible in https://dx.doi.org/10.17632/btchxktzyw.

Our heartiest congratulations to our CFAR members on their excellent achievement!
