Congratulations to Dr Joey Zhou, Senior Scientist from A*STAR’s Centre for Frontier AI Research (CFAR) for receiving the A*STAR Central Research Fund (CRF).

Dr Zhou's project involves the development of a Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) framework via unified optimization towards data, algorithm, and hardware, thereby building up a resource-constrained on-device full AI system. The built TinyML framework will fundamentally advance edge computing research boundaries and constitute a step toward an on-device full AI system with the more widespread adoption of AI.

The CRF is to recognise and support highly-productive and talented researchers to pursue innovative and impactful research in both use inspired basic research (UIBR) and applied / translational research (ATR).
