Enhancing International Collaboration: Visit from Vietname Metrology Institute
NMC welcomed 12 delegates from the Vietnam Metrology Institute (VMI), led by Dr Cao Xuan Quan, Director of VMI, who visited NMC on 29 Jun 2017. Dr Thomas Liew, Executive Director of NMC, and Dr Lee Tong Kooi, Division Director of Chemical Metrology Division, Health Sciences Authority (as the designated institute for chemical metrology in Singapore) hosted the visit and led the discussion on technical cooperation between NMC and VMI, including capability-building in metrology and collaborative research in measurement science.
As part of the cooperation initiative, eight technical staff members from VMI participated in NMC’s Measurement Assurance Programme in July and August to enhance metrology capabilities in temperature, optical, gas analysis and radio frequency measurements.
