Authentication Vault (AuthVault)

Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices are vulnerable to hacking and cyberattacks, increasing the risk of the credentials saved on the devices being exploited. This is a prevalent concern, particularly for devices deployed on the field with little to no physical access.

Authentication Vault, or AuthVault is an authentication scheme that mitigates this risk by removing the credentials from the devices and storing them on a trusted, secure backend service that is accessed using trusted cellular identity.

Connected to the cloud, AuthVault enables users to perform signatures on behalf of devices in a secured telco MEC server and access multiple IoT devices securely and conveniently with the single sign-on (SSO) feature.

The IOT cryptographic operations are offloaded to 5G MEC Edge Cloud for better security, better utilisation of device battery and faster crypto operations.

AuthVault can be used across different applications—from precision engineering to construction to facilities management—powered by IoT devices.
