SINGAPORE INSTITUTE OF FOOD AND BIOTECHNOLOGY INNOVATION (SIFBI)

Welcome to the Singapore Institute of Food and Biotechnology Innovation (SIFBI), the newest research institute under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore!

SIFBI is a research institute that houses A*STAR’s research capabilities in areas such as food, nutrition, public health, biotechnology, manufacturing and agri-food technology research under one roof. SIFBI’s capabilities support the development of solutions for the needs of the Asian market, such as the discovery and production of healthy and sustainable food. SIFBI is also working with other stakeholders to strengthen the local food-tech ecosystem, and these are done through collaborations and supporting spinoffs to catalyse the growth of food tech industry in Singapore.
