I²R RESEARCH TEAM

Dr Rosa So is the Head of the Healthcare and Medtech Division (HME) at Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R), A*STAR, Singapore. She oversees projects within I²R related to healthcare and medical technologies and the implementation of I²R’s research strategies. Dr So also holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor position in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the National University of Singapore. Dr So’s main research interest lies in neural engineering and brain machine interface and has contributed towards the Neurodevice Programme at A*STAR, working on building an implantable brain machine interface system for motor control. Dr So graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University and obtained her Doctor of Philosophy from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Duke University.
