IEEE VTS 2023 - Women's Distinguished Career Award Recipient - Dr Sun Sumei

Dr. Sun Sumei, Acting Executive Director of A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research, received the esteemed IEEE Vehicular Technology Society 2023 - Women's Distinguished Career Award at the IEEE VTS Conference 2023.
 
This award, which started in 2020, recognises outstanding women engineers who have made significant contributions in the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society fields of interest. Sumei is the 4th women and 1st in Singapore to be honoured with this award.

As an IEEE Fellow, Sumei has not only made outstanding contributions to the wireless communications research, but also to the wireless community through her active voluntary services in IEEE and in VTS.  She is highly visible within the society as an internationally recognized established and well-respected researcher as well as a research leader, and an  IEEE volunteer. She sets an excellent role model for woman researchers and engineers.
