I²R and University of Surrey Partner for 6G, AI, and Sustainability Research


The Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R) and the University of Surrey have signed an MOU to develop a strategic partnership for global research and innovation in key research areas including 6G and artificial intelligence.

We are excited to embark on this strategic partnership with the University of Surrey, combining our strengths in cutting-edge research areas such as 6G, AI, and space technologies. In communications, Surrey and I2R will work together on developing 6G terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (NTN) for seamless connectivity. In AI, the partnership will explore AI applications in healthcare, space, creative media, and climate challenges, along with sustainable AI and advanced algorithm design, driving  innovative solutions to real-world problems.
