Elevation to IEEE Fellow - Dr Li Xiaoli

We are proud to announce that Dr. Li Xiaoli, Department Head of Machine Intellection department, will be elevated to IEEE Fellow for his contributions to machine learning models, with effect from 1 January 2024.

This is a prestigious recognition of his contribution to science and engineering.

Dr Li pioneered in the research on Positive Unlabelled learning, AI based time series sensor data analytics for equipment health monitoring and was one of the first researchers to formulate the sensor feature representation learning problem using deep neural networks.
 
He was also recently recognised as one of the world's top 2% scientists in the AI domain by Stanford University.
 
With more than 320 peer-reviewed papers and over 20,000 citations of his research, Dr. Li has created much social and economic impact with his research.
