Cell & Molecular Therapy Division
Did you know that we can cure or prevent diseases using cells and modified molecules?
The IMCB Cell & Molecular Therapy (CMT) Division is dedicated to advance the science and technologies for curing or preventing diseases using cells and modified molecules. It aims to build a cutting-edge, global leading biomedical research program to understand the complexity of cellular systems and to utilise cells and molecules to transform therapy approaches.
We are a multidisciplinary research team of scientists, bioengineers, and clinicians working at the forefront of Regenerative Medicine, Immuno-oncology, and Molecular Engineering. Our research focuses on understanding how diseases start, progress, and respond to treatments. This is enabled by adopting a cross-disciplinary approach for engineering cells and biomolecules to make highly functional and potent therapeutics.
Our team has built up core capabilities in the differentiation of specialized cell types, stem cell expansion and banking, regeneration of complex tissues and disease modelling using 3D organoids, rodent and non-human primate models.
We leverage multi-omics profiling to develop immunotherapy products with enhanced tumor-killing efficacy.
We modify diverse biomolecules (mitochondria, extracellular vesicles, RNAs and peptides) for therapeutic, screening, or disease diagnostic purpose.
