We are proud to announce that Dr Deviprasath Chinnadurai has been named a 2026 Emerging Investigator by the Journal of Materials Chemistry A (JMCA), a leading journal by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

This recognition strengthens my commitment to advancing fundamental understanding while developing practical solutions for next-generation batteries and sustainable energy technologies. I view this award not as a destination, but as a strong encouragement to further push the boundaries of research in rechargeable magnesium batteries toward their practical deployment.

Dr Deviprasath, 2026 JMCA Emerging Investigator

This recognition highlights outstanding early-career researchers whose work has been recognised by experts as having the potential to shape future directions in materials chemistry for energy and sustainability.

In his featured article, “A bromine-rich artificial interphase to regulate interfacial kinetics in boron-centered electrolytes for magnesium metal batteries”, Dr Deviprasath demonstrates how a bromine-rich interphase can stabilise magnesium metal interfaces, enabling more efficient and longer-lasting battery performance.

Congratulations to Dr Deviprasath on this notable recognition.
