The AOT department delivers top level research and development in Photonics and Optoelectronics. We are using advanced nanotechnology to realize designs for facilitating light manipulation on a sub-wavelength scale. Our projects include e.g. integrated lasers, on-chip photonic solutions, flat optics, 2D optoelectronics, sensing and virtual- and augmented reality. The spectrum of our research ranges from theoretical physics and numerical analysis to proof of concept experimental demonstrations and prototype development.
