    Meet Singapore's Materials Man

    In an interview with Asian Scientist, Professor Loh Xian Jun, Executive Director of A*STAR's Institute of Materials and Engineering (IMRE), shared how innovations such as the smart mask and eye polymer he developed with his team could help improve the lives of Singaporeans. He said that his key focus was on the development of new and innovative materials for sustainability and energy-related applications, medical technologies, agritech and aquaculture. He also emphasised collaboration and building a “Created in Singapore” brand of research.
