In a recent study by Stanford University, twelve scientists of A*STAR's Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) were featured among the World's Top 2% Scientists List.

List of IMRE scientists (in no particular order):

    Scientist Subject Field
    Chi Dongzhi Applied Physics
    Wang Shijie Applied Physics
    Yao Kui Applied Physics
    Kai Dan Biomedical Engineering
    Liu Zhaolin Energy
    Jackie Y. Ying Materials
Albertus Denny Handoko Nanoscience & Nanotechnology
Loh Xian Jun Nanoscience & Nanotechnology
Seh Zhi Wei Nanoscience & Nanotechnology
    Arseniy I. Kuznetsov Optics
    Jason Y.C. Lim Organic Chemistry
    Li Zibiao Polymers

The study analysed data from 1996 through 2020, covering ~7 million scientists in 22 major fields ranging from chemistry, engineering, economics and business. It was first released on 16 October 2020 in PLOS Biology by Prof. John P. A. Loannidis and his team at Stanford University. The latest version 3 is based on the 1 August 2021 snapshot from Scopus and is updated to the citation year 2020.

The database provides updated analyses and standardised information on citations, h-index (an index to measure an individual's scientific research output), co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator. The citation metric provides a basis to measure and reflect the impact of a published journal.

Heartiest congratulations to IMRE scientists on their achievement!
