Our Fermentation Joint Lab is now operational

Big Leap in Food Tech Innovation

We are thrilled to share the launch of our Fermentation Joint Lab - a pivotal venture in collaboration with ScaleUp Bio. It is now fully operational at the Nurasa's Food Tech Innovation Centre (FTIC)!

At SIFBI, we believe in collaboration. Our partnership with ScaleUp Bio goes beyond fermentation. It includes downstream processing, which is often a significant cost factor in product development. Our goal is to co-develop affordable, sustainable, and deliciously nutritious products that will ultimately benefit consumers worldwide.

The joint lab is not just a research facility; it's a hub of innovation, committed to addressing some of the most pressing challenges in the food industry. We focus on areas like sustainable protein production and novel food processing techniques, which are critical for food security and economic diversification in Singapore and beyond.

The upcoming commercial production facility with a capacity of up to 10,000L fermentation by ScaleUp Bio at Tuas, will mark a significant advancement in making precision fermentation a scalable and sustainable solution for global protein production.
