Biography
Zhiping Lin received Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the University of Cambridge, England in 1987. Since 1999, he has been with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, as an associate professor. He is a Program Director at Centre for Bio Devices and Signal Analysis, NTU. Prof. Lin was the Editor-in-Chief of Multidimensional Systems and Signal Processing for 2011-2015, and is currently a Subject Editor of the Journal of the Franklin Institute. He is the co-author of the 2007 Young Author Best Paper Award from the IEEE Signal Processing Society, Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) for 2007-2008.

Research interests
His research interests include multidimensional systems and signal processing, statistical and biomedical signal processing, and machine learning.
