How Allergies are Passed on in the Womb
In a collaborative study by A*STAR’s Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN), KKH and Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore, researchers discovered that mothers pass on allergies to offspring while they are still developing in the womb. This finding hints at why infants exhibit allergies so early in life and suggests possible targets for intervention.
