I²R at Public Service Science, Technology, and Engineering Conference (STEC) 2024

The Public Service Science, Technology, and Engineering Conference (STEC) 2024 is an event for STE professionals in the public sector, to come together, explore and discuss on how Science, Technology, and Engineering can transform the lives of citizens.  



During the conference and award ceremony, our service robots—ISERO and SAAVIS had the honor of interacting with the Guest of Honour, Minister Chan Chun Seng, Minister for Education and Minister-in-charge of the Public Service. Meanwhile, Happy joined the Host Team, and TurfTrekker was showcased at the exhibition, engaging with other guests.

Originally developed for security surveillance and people escort, aircraft inspection and greenery management use cases, they were creatively repurposed to play a key role in welcoming guests on stage, guiding them to their seats, and even delivering award trophies for the winners of the Public Service STE Innovation Challenge and Public Service STE Excellence Awards.

It was a privilege to showcase the practical applications of these robots to our Public Service colleagues. The event ignited valuable discussions on how these technologies can be further enhanced to better serve and improve the lives of citizens.
