Biography:

Dr. Joseph Wang is a Distinguished Professor, SAIC Endowed Professor and former Chair of Nanogineering at University of California San Diego (UCSD), USA. After holding a Regents Professor and Manasse Chair positions at NMSU he moved to ASU where he served as the Director of the Center for Bioelectronics and Biosnesors (Biodesign Institute). He joined the University of California San Diego (UCSD), NanoEngineering Department in 2008. Dr. Wang is also a Honorary Professor from 10 different universities and the recipient of 2 National American Chemical Society Awards for Electrochemistry and Instrumentation, the ECS Sensor Achievement Award, and Life Time Achievement Awards from the European Society of Electrochemistry. He is a Fellow of the RSC, ECS and AIMBE. He also served as the Chief Editor of the Wiley journal Electroanalysis and on the editorial board of 15 other journals.
 
Dr. Wang’s research interests include the development of wearable sensor systems, microrobots and nanomachines, bioelectronics and biosensors, and flexible materials. He has authored over 1150 research papers, 10 books, 40 patents, and 35 chapters with H Index of 176. He was ranked as the most cited electrochemist in the world in 1995 and the ‘Most Cited Researcher in Engineering’ from 1995 to 2005.
