NMC provides technical expertise for
assessments of
calibration and measurement laboratories under the Singapore Accreditation Council’s Singapore
Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAC-SINGLAS). NMC supports the Singapore Accreditation Council
(SAC),
the national agency for accreditation of conformity assessment services, in various roles in
council and
technical committees.
NMC’s roles include:
- Member of the SAC Council Committee for Laboratories Accreditation (CCLA) overseeing the Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAC-SINGLAS)
- Member of the SINGLAS Technical Committee for Calibration and Measurement
- Member of the SINGLAS Proficiency Testing Committee
- Provide Technical Assessors for the calibration and measurement assessments
- Support SAC-SINGLAS’ International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) MRA and Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) MRA for testing, calibration and inspection by providing an international recognised national measurement system.
