    World Remanufacturing Summit (WRS) 2017

The World Remanufacturing Summit 2017 was successfully held this year on the 6th and 7th September 2017 at ARTC. The Summit garnered an approximate of 200 delegates where keynote speeches and discussions concerning international remanufacturing research and industry-related collaborations were addressed. A total of 38 industry leading figures from the European, American and Asian remanufacturing communities were invited to deliver speeches on topics such the future and design of remanufacturing, reverse logistics and core management, global standards and regulation, and life cycle management.

As the advent of the digital era has presented immense opportunities for reducing the cost of remanufacturing and unlocking its potential, the proposed theme for this year’s summit was the Digitization of Remanufacturing. The areas covered during the Summit were reman business model and reverse logistics, reman markets and future development, and research and innovations in remanufacturing technology.
As part of the Summit, industrial visits to 3 leading manufacturing companies - Singapore Aero Engine Services Pte Ltd (SAESL), MTU, and IBM GARS were also offered to delegates.

To round off their experience in Singapore, delegates were invited to Forest Lodge at Singapore Zoological Gardens for a Summit dinner. This was followed by a tour of the world-famous Night Safari Tour.
