BI-ANNUAL TECHNICAL MEETING (BTM) SEPTEMBER 2019

The Bi-Annual Technical Meeting took place from the 3rd to 5th of September 2019. The event was attended by more than 150 members. The first two days covered Core Research Project Cycle 6 (CRP) updates on 4 themes; Additive Manufacturing, Intelligent Verification, Smart Automation and Smart Factory.

On Day One, Anchor ember, Shell, also shared about their broad technology focus in CRP coupled with current projects. The day ended with our Annual Members Dinner at PARKROYAL on Pickering, where members had a hearty meal while networking with one another.

Day Two rounded off with a members networking go-kart session at KF1 Kranji where members together with ARTC staff burnt rubber and went head-to-head in an adrenaline-filled night to see who would be crowned go-kart champion.

On the third day of BTM, ARTC Innovation Day (AID) took place where experienced industry practitioners who are part of companies within ARTC’s membership ecosystem shared about how they contribute to accelerate the development of prototypes for swift evaluation of specific use-cases for eventual implementation of Industry 4.0 and the challenges they face. ARTC and members also took the chance to showcase their technological capabilities using the AID as a platform.
