ROS-I Workshop 2019
The ROS-I Consortium Asia Pacific workshop was held in ARTC from 18th to 19th June. It was graced by over 100 guests for both days.On 18th to 19th June 2019, ARTC was host to more than 110 guests hailing from around the world who came to learn more about ROS-I. Topics covered during the two-day workshop included the latest technical developments with regards to the Robot Operating System (ROS), shared by Open Robotics, and the incorporation of Internet of Things (IoT), AI and Robotics to improve business value which was shared by end-user Woodside Energy.
The major highlight of the event was ROS 2.0, the newest addition to ROS-I technology. How it can be implemented and how it will impact a company’s business model was well discussed, with presentations from Microsoft, Intel and ADLINK among others who also shared their experience in implementation.
After the workshop, many participants showed interest in adopting ROS 2.0 into their business model, making this event a success for the ARTC ROS-I team.
