    SMJL Signing Ceremony 

    The SMJL Signing Ceremony was held in ARTC on 27th June 2019 and serves as an initiative to deepen the collaboration between A*STAR and Rolls-Royce.

    The evening of 27th June marked a remarkable milestone in the collaboration between A*STAR and Rolls-Royce. The Smart Manufacturing Joint Lab (SMJL) was established on 17thSeptember 2017 to accelerate the development of automatic, digital, adaptive manufacturing and repair development solutions for the aerospace industry. The uplift saw an addition of a sixth work-stream for high value-added repair and on-wing technologies and serves as an initiative to deepen the collaboration between A*STAR and Rolls-Royce.

    The event was hosted in ARTC and graced by CEO A* STAR Mr. Fredrick Chew, CEO Rolls-Royce Mr. Warren East and CEO SAESL Mr. Bill Wozniak who witnessed and took part in the vanity signing. More than 50 guests from A*STAR, Rolls-Royce, SAESL, NRF, EDB and ESG also attended the event to witness this momentous ceremony.
