A*STAR has launched a Battery Test Facility, A*STAR Battery Centre (A*BC), the largest one in Southeast Asia. This facility spans 800 square meters and is equipped with a range of cutting-edge test equipment with a connected climate chamber.

A*BC is a Centre of Excellence in research with capabilities spanning across the battery value chain providing:

a range of facilities in A*STAR for battery design, development and deployment R&D
expertise to tackle interdisciplinary problems by utilising diverse capabilities across A*STAR
broad disciplines including Materials, Modelling & Simulation, AI & Automation, Testing & Standards etc.
one-stop engagement for expert knowledge on battery-related technologies and R&D

This allows for a variety of battery lifetime, performance and destructive safety test to be conducted. With the opening of the facility, A*STAR welcomes industry partners towards collaboration with global and local enterprises.
