A*STAR ARTC and SAESL Sign MOU to Advance Aerospace MRO Innovation

A*STAR ARTC and Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen their collaboration in strengthening Singapore’s aerospace supply chain, developing future-ready talent and advancing next-generation maintenance, repair and overhaul technologies.

The five-year collaboration will focus on the development and deployment of advanced technologies for aerospace MRO. These include AI-native and autonomous solutions for inspection, assembly and disassembly, with the aim of advancing the technologies and capabilities needed to support growing global demand for MRO services.

The collaboration will also support the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies by local small and medium-sized enterprises. By enabling greater participation across Singapore’s aerospace ecosystem, ARTC and SAESL seek to strengthen local supply chain capabilities while creating opportunities for technology transfer, capability development and industry collaboration.

The partnership builds on established collaboration through the Smart Manufacturing Joint Lab. The joint lab translates advanced manufacturing research into real-world applications for aerospace MRO and has supported a broad range of research and development projects and industry collaborations.

Through the renewed collaboration, ARTC and SAESL will continue connecting research, technology deployment, workforce development and supply chain participation. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthen Singapore’s aerospace MRO capabilities and translate next-generation manufacturing technologies into industrial applications.
