Biography:

Professor FENG Xue received his PhD degree in solid mechanics from Tsinghua University in 2003 and joined University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) as a Postdoc from 2004 to 2007.  Then he moved on to work as a Postdoc at California Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2006. He joined Tsinghua University in 2007. He is currently a Professor at the School of Aerospace Engineering in Tsinghua University. He is also the Chief Scientist of Qiantang Science & Technology Innovation Center, the Director of the Center for Flexible Electronics Technology of Tsinghua University, the Director of the Institute of Flexible Electronics Technology of Tsinghua, Zhejiang and the Director of The Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Applied Mechanics. Professor Feng is currently serving as an Editor / Co-editor of several journals such as ASME Journal of Applied Mechanics, Flexible and Printed Electronics of IOPscience, NPJ Flexible Electronics, SCIENTIA SINICA Technological of Science China Press, et al.
His research interests focus on developing bio-inspired stretchable and flexible electronic devices, as well as exploring the applications for bio-medicine, engineering and industry. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers on Nature Materials, Science Advances, PNAS, Advanced Materials, Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids, IEEE Electron Device Letters, Journal of Applied Physics and 2 papers on IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting. He has over 140 patents and 9 software copyrights which have been granted.
