    The Good Food Conference 2023: Path to 2030

    The Good Food Conference 2023: Path to 2030, which is recognized globally as one of GFI’s flagship alternative protein conference, has set the stage for discussions surrounding innovations, sustainable practices, the future of food, offering a deep dive into the dynamics of alternative proteins.

    SIFBI fermentation expert, Dr Yvonne Chow, Principal Scientist from A*STAR’s SIFBI Biotransformation capability group, shared insights on foremost challenges facing the alternative protein field and outlined the technology approaches to develop precision fermentation ingredients for future food.

    In the final opening plenary, Dr Min Hao Wong, Director (incoming), Food and Nutrition Cluster at A*STAR Biomedical Research Council, shared Singapore’s pivotal role as an Asia’s innovation hub for alternative protein R&D and highlighted the importance of global collaboration and public-private partnerships to jointly solve the alternative protein sector’s challenges.
