Urban Microalgae-Based Protein Production
At A*STAR SIFBI, we are advancing 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 as a core capability for sustainable biomanufacturing. Our "Urban Microalgae-Based Protein Production" project in Singapore exemplifies this, demonstrating how robust 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 can yield high-quality, nutrient-rich microalgae biomass.
Developed in collaboration with the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) and National University of Singapore (NUS), this technology turns microalgae into delicious, nutritious food ingredients and products. We have successfully scaled production to a 200-liter pilot facility and are eager to partner with innovators to create the next wave of sustainable ingredients for food and consumer care products, enhancing global sustainability efforts and food resilience.
