SIFBI had the privilege to host a visit for the APAC management team of GEA to exchange around plant-based protein technologies. Dr @Raffael Osen, Head of Food Process Engineering, and Dr. Simon Loveday, Principal Investigator in Food Proteins,  discussed current R&D approaches and opportunities in plant protein ingredients processing from an Asian perspective, with respect to taste, functionality, nutrition, sustainability and affordability. Such visits are essential to raise awareness of currently trending topics and markets within the ecosystem. SIFBI looks forward to future engagements with GEA and new opportunities for collaboration with systems supplier & research institutes.
