It was a pleasure to host Mr. Weylin Tang, Director at the Public Sector Science & Technology Policy and Plans Office (S&TPPO), along with Mr. Ying Chuan (Bobby) Tan, Head of the Future Energy Program at S&TPPO, and Dr. Stefan Klade, Director of Research & Innovation from TUMCREATE, at SIFBI recently.

Our meeting was a fantastic opportunity for mutual exchange and exploring potential areas for collaboration. We discussed SIFBI’s capabilities, focusing on our advanced biotransformation processes and the state-of-the-art pilot-scale facilities. We also highlighted the innovative strides being made at Nurasa’s Food Tech Innovation Centre.

Our shared commitment to pioneering research and development in food technology and sustainable energy solutions, leveraging synergies across multiple institutions, such as the Proteins4Singapore project collaboration with TUMCREATE, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and Singapore Institute of Technology, researching alternative protein food production in an urban environment.

We look forward to potential collaborative opportunities that can drive forward our mission of innovative excellence in the food space.
