Visit by the management team of Kikkoman Corporation

A*STAR had the pleasure of hosting the management team of Kikkoman Corporation on Dec 9th! We explored how Singapore’s Research, Innovation, and Enterprise (RIE) ecosystem, supported by A*STAR and ecosystem partners, translates research in future foods, thereby enhancing food resilience, promoting sustainability, and fostering economic growth.
The visit included showcasing A*STAR’s research capabilities and Nurasa’s open innovation platform, highlighting how public-private partnerships can drive Kikkoman’s R&D initiatives in Singapore. We concluded with a lab tour of the Fermentation and Food Processing Joint Labs, where Kikkoman experienced our pilot-scale facilities that bridge research and commercialization.
