Industrial AI Symposium
On 26th February 2025, the Industrial AI Symposium was held at JTC CleanTech 2A, organised by A*STAR SIMTech. The event, themed “Exploration of the latest AI trends”, brought together approximately 200 guests comprising industry leaders, trade associations, public agencies, and researchers, to engage in discussions on the integration of Artificial Intelligence across manufacturing processes and its role in shaping Industry 5.0.
Distinguished guest speakers shared valuable insights on:
- Prof. Jay Lee, Director of the Industrial AI Centre at the University of Maryland – Keynote Address: Industrial AI for High Valued Manufacturing
- Dr Tan Puay Siew, Research Division Director, Digital Manufacturing Division, A*STAR SIMTech – Powering Manufacturing with Industry 5.0 and AI
- Dr Chen Fang, Research Division Director, Manufacturing Inspection & Vision, A*STAR SIMTech - AI for Inspection: Data Driven or Knowledge Driven
The programme featured highlights including an expert panel discussion, where speakers and panellists explored real-world challenges and opportunities in adopting AI within the manufacturing sector. Participants also toured the newly opened AI Experience Nexus, gaining hands-on exposure to cutting-edge AI innovations.
The Industrial AI Symposium provided a valuable platform for participants to deepen their understanding, gain practical insights, as well as spark new discussions and partnership opportunities for AI in manufacturing.
