Inter-Act Future of Manufacturing Workshop
On 27th June 2024, the Inter-Act Future of Manufacturing Workshop was held at JTC CleanTech 3, led by InterAct, in collaboration with A*STAR SIMTech, A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (A*STAR ARTC) and JTC Corporation. The event, themed “Future of Manufacturing”, brought together approximately 50 guests comprising industry leaders and institutes of higher learning, to engage in discussions on talent building, technology innovation, and the digital future.
Distinguished guest speakers shared valuable insights on:
- Prof. Jilian MacBryde, University of Strathclyde – Talent Acquisition, Retention, Upskilling and the Perceptions of Manufacturing
- Prof. Jan Godsell, Loughborough Business School – Supply Chains and Manufacturing Ecosystems
- Dr Zhu Haiyu & Mr Daren Tan, A*STAR SIMTech & A*STAR ARTC – Singapore’s Approach to Decarbonisation
The programme featured highlights including interactive workshops and peer discussions, fostering idea exchange and cross-sector collaboration. Participants also toured A*STAR SIMTech and A*STAR ARTC’s state-of-the-art facilities.
The Future of Manufacturing Workshop provided a valuable platform for participants to deepen their understanding, gain practical insights, as well as spark new discussions and partnership opportunities for digital transformation, and sustainability.
