Celebrating Workforce Excellence at the Graduation Ceremony
On 3 November 2026, the A*STAR–SWDA Graduation Ceremony marked a significant milestone in the development of Singapore's manufacturing workforce. Organised by the A*STAR Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) and A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), and supported by the Skills & Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), the ceremony celebrated the achievements of over 600 individuals who successfully completed various workforce training programmes over the past year.
The event was honoured by the presence of Guest-of-Honour Ms Dilys Boey, Chief Executive of SWDA, alongside Mr Beh Kian Teik, Chief Executive Officer of A*STAR. Their attendance underscored the importance of lifelong learning and skills development in advancing Singapore's manufacturing sector.
The ceremony served as a timely reminder of the need to stay current in a rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape, where emerging technologies and new processes continuously redefine industry practices. It highlighted how ongoing training empowers professionals to remain competitive, adapt to change, and contribute meaningfully to industry growth. Beyond recognising individual achievements, the event reflected a collective commitment to building a more skilled, resilient, and future-ready manufacturing workforce.
The evening was marked by inspiring speeches and a strong sense of pride as the contributions and dedication of the graduands were recognised. Their achievements stand as a testament to the ambition and strength of Singapore's workforce development initiatives, and we look forward to their continued contributions to the growth and competitiveness of the nation's manufacturing industry.
