Dr Chen Zhenghua

Chen Zhenghua, Scientist, I2R

Dr Chen Zhenghua is an Early Career Investigator at A*STAR’s Centre for Frontier AI Research (CFAR), and a Part-time Lecturer at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore). He received his B.Eng. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) and Ph.D. degree from NTU Singapore.

Dr Chen also serves as a PI and Co-PI for several research grants, including A*STAR Career Development Award (A*STAR CDA), Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) Programmatic, Young Individual Research Grant (YIRG), AI Singapore (AISG) Research Grant, etc. He has won many competitive awards, such as First Place Winner for CVPR 2021 UG2+ Challenge, A*STAR CDA, First Runner-Up Award for Grand Challenge at IEEE VCIP 2020, Best Paper Award at IEEE ICIEA 2022 and IEEE SmartCity 2022, etc. He is also the Associate Editor-in-Chief for Neurocomputing and Associate Editor for journals such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems, IEEE Sensors Journal, and Springer Discover Artificial Intelligence. He is currently the Chair of IEEE Sensors Council Singapore Chapter.
