Project Clarity Research Collaboration Agreement Signing Ceremony

On 12 Feb 2025, Dornier MedTech, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), MedTech Catapult, and Singapore Biodesign inked a Research Collaboration Agreement to develop an intelligent laser lithotripsy system.

Project Clarity harnesses multidisciplinary expertise across advanced modelling and simulation, and mechanical product system development and integration. With A*STAR IHPC's contributions, the team uses advanced modelling and simulation tool to optimise the laser lithotripsy procedure, enhancing both its effectiveness and safety in kidney stone treatment. A prototype has been developed to validate the concept, with MedTech Catapult supporting component sourcing and refinement to prepare it for user testing.
