Electronic Attendance (via Singpass) for Trainees

From 1 October 2023, trainees who are attending SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)'s funded courses must take their attendance digitally via the Singpass App for attendance-taking for both physical classroom and synchronous e-learning courses.

To ensure seamlessness of attendance-taking, trainees are encouraged to download the Singpass App on their mobile phones (with a camera) or tablets (with a camera) and set up their Singpass accounts (if this was not done previously) before their respective courses start. Trainees are to bring their devices with the installed Singpass App for each session.

HOW TO TAKE YOUR DIGITAL ATTENDANCE

At each training session

Launch the Singpass App on your device and login to Singpass.
Click on the Scan button and scan the QR code shown on the screen.
Click on "Approve" to give your consent to Singpass to share your personal details with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

When your electronic attendance is successfully captured, you will see a notification on your device showing your name and attendance (for that session) are taken successfully.

Important Information

Trainees are strongly encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before the session's start time to have sufficient time to complete their electronic attendance.
For every session, each trainee needs only scan the QR code once before the QR code auto-refreshes for the next trainee to scan.

Before registering for a Singpass account, please ensure that you fulfil the following eligibility requirements:

You are at least 15 years old.
You are a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident or Foreign Identification Number (FIN) holder.
Ensure that your address had been updated with the relevant authorities.

Please install the Singpass app from the official app stores only: Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery. Check that the app developer is "Government Technology Agency" before downloading.
