*This is a non-WSQ module.
Co-organised with: TÜV SÜD

With increasing emphasis on corporate environmental sustainability globally and locally, more companies are inclined to learn about how they can become more environmentally sustainable. However, there may be a lack of knowledge internally on what needs to be done. Most courses available on the market focus on teaching background knowledge over extensive courses with a minor focus on helping the students apply the knowledge to their workplaces. This course seeks to help companies’ employees learn about corporate environmental sustainability and create a high-level, strategic plan to become more environmentally sustainable. Participants will get an overview of environmental sustainability management trends and implement the knowledge gained in a corporate context. This course is 16 hours, conducted over 4 non-consecutive days. Individuals will create a proposal of strategic actions for improving an organisation’s environmental sustainability. They are encouraged to use actual data collated from the relevant personnel from their respective companies and to present the high-level action plan to their company’s upper management in the final session of the workshop.

About the Programme

Green Compass consists of a four-step Learn-Assess-Prioritise-Plan model. Companies learn about sustainability trends and methodologies, assess their companies’ sustainability level, prioritise the initiatives with the biggest financial and strategic impact, and develop a strategic action plan for the company’s sustainability transformation journey.

Sustainability Transformation through Green Compass

"Workshop helped us assess our company’s state of sustainability across different dimensions and quantify our sustainability efforts. We determined potential areas for tangible improvement focusing on organization, product life cycle, supply network and operations, which helps with the transformation of a more sustainable business."

Mr Pardhu Vemulamada,
Head, Digital from Durapower Holdings Pte Ltd

"The Green Compass Assessment results were comprehensive, which helped us to identify not just which specific areas to work on, but how to work on them. The trainers were knowledgeable in the topics covered and were helpful in our specific issues when brainstorming for improvement ideas. As a result of the course, we put together a roadmap of improvement actions that we are excited to get started on to scale up our environmental sustainability transformation."

Mr James Chua,
Senior Manager (Quality), I-PEX Singapore
