PLAN AND MANAGE PROJECT FOR IMPLEMENTATION (30 HOURS)

Introduction
Project management is a powerful tool and important skillset for many organisations. Projects can be launched to develop new products and services or technologies, and in implementing IT & other infrastructure etc. Project management ensures proper expectations are set around what can be delivered, by when, and at what operating cost to the organisation. Upon completion of the course, participants will be equipped with the fundamental knowledge and essential skills in project management.
During this course, key knowledge and skills within the process groups of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling and closing will be covered. Some of the knowledge areas include risk management, stakeholder management, schedule management, resource management, change management and decision making. Through classroom practice, participants will learn to apply the techniques and tools for the processes in the knowledge areas.

About the Trainer
Dr Zeng Xianting
Prior to his role leading AMTA, Dr Zeng established the Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) in A*STAR SIMTech as the founding director to transfer knowledge and capability to the industry through case studies and hands-on practical training to meet technology and skills gaps. Under his leadership, SIMTech launched a broad portfolio of industrial training programmes to support the industry using a Learn-Practise-Implement™ (LPI™) model, which benefited about 1800 local companies with more than 8000 PMETS trained.
Besides his role in leading industrial training development, Dr Zeng has been an active research scientist in the field of nanocomposite coating materials and plasma-enhanced PVD thin film processes. He published extensively, with his research outcomes and scientific achievements recognised internationally.
He obtained his PhD degree in Physics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995, and his MSc and BSc degrees from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China in 1987 and 1982, respectively.
