Generative AI Applications for Robust Shopfloor

(MASTERCLASS IN GENERATIVE AI FOR ROBUST SHOPFLOOR)

Generative AI Applications for Robust Shopfloor

Introduction

To effectively address complex problems and improve decision-making processes in manufacturing production shopfloor, Generative AI (Gen AI) technology must be integrated with domain-specific knowledge. During the 3-day MasterClass, participants will learn how to combine their domain expertise with contextual understanding to fine-tune gen AI models and ensure their relevance and accuracy in specific applications.

Why This MasterClass

As organisations seek to harness artificial intelligence to drive innovation and competitive advantage, executives need to be well-versed in the fundamentals of generative AI. Our upcoming masterclass is meticulously designed to give c-suite and senior business leaders from technical and non-technical business units the knowledge and tools necessary to lead generative AI initiatives effectively.

In this masterclass course, participants will gained knowledge and thought leadership to design and introduce generative AI solutions to be used in a manufacturing shopfloor, leveraging large language models to contextualise to manufacturing use cases without the need of fine-tuning.

The course provides an overview of generative AI, planning a generative AI project, the foundations of prompt engineering, the architecture patterns to build generative AI applications, and having hands-on opportunities with Amazon Web Services like Bedrock and LangChain. In addition, participants will also learn an alternative method to leverage generative AI capabilities using open-source technologies and evaluate the suitability of each method for their future generative AI initiatives.

Who Should Attend

  • Executives
  • Senior Business Leaders
  • Software Developers interested in developing LLM models

Pre-requisites

We recommend that participants of this masterclass course should have the following pre-requisites:
  • AWS technical essentials
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Python

Programme Agenda

Programme Agenda

Day 1 Activities

  • Participants will be introduced to machine learning and generative AI (Gen AI), along with its challenges and impact on domain applications. They will learn to plan a Gen AI project, understand essential steps, and mitigate risks for actual deployment. This day will include an Amazon Bedrock session covering architecture, manufacturing use cases, setup, and prompt engineering techniques. Demonstrations will focus on fine-tuning prompts and addressing biases in domain processes.

Day 2 Activities

  • The day will start with a review of Amazon Bedrock application components, foundational models, datasets, and securing AI applications. Participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with word embeddings and secure setups. The workshop will explore Bedrock foundation models for inference, advanced methods, and data protection. It will also cover LangChain integration, optimising large language models, effective prompts, and efficient data management. Demonstrations will showcase LangChain with Bedrock for contextual prompts, text summarisation, question answering, chatbots, and code generation tailored to specific scenarios with manufacturing domain case studies.

Day 3 Activities

  • The focus will be on enabling a robust manufacturing shop floor with the help of Gen AI-related open-source tools, libraries, and models. The day will centre on the end-to-end development of RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) applications in Gen AI for manufacturing. It will include demonstrations and hands-on sessions on critical aspects of Gen AI development, such as vectorising documents and using RAG on vectorised databases.
