INNOVATION FELLOWSHIP CURRICULUM
The Innovation Fellowship consists of the formation of multi-disciplinary teams comprising of (though not limited to) engineers, healthcare professionals and business/industry professionals who will be trained in the health technology innovation journey based on the Biodesign pedagogy founded by our partner, the Stanford Byers Centre for Biodesign.
The fellowship features high-touch training and mentorship by esteemed mentors curated by Singapore Biodesign. Fellows get the chance to tap on their mentors' wide-ranging experience from relevant disciplines such as clinical, technical, venture and industry.
Below is the timeline of the SB fellowship showing the iterative ‘Identify’, ‘Invent’ and ‘Implement’ phases of Biodesign.

The Fellowship will kick off with a pre-fellowship preparation phase where Fellows will spend time to research and understand the Clinicial theme of the year, as well as the Biodesign Process. Afterwhich, the team will focus on applying the Biodesign process and uncovering local and regional healthcare needs so as to develop a solution for their top identified need. Fellows will get a unique opportunity to immerse in regional countries i.e China, Indonesia, to investigate unmet clinical needs and develop a deeper understanding of the native healthtech ecosystems.
In addition, Fellows will spend time with our Silicon Valley partners to further refine and develop implementation plans for their top projects. They will enjoy unrivalled access to seasoned commercialization domain experts so as to increase the chances of securing follow-on funding to continue their projects.
