Join Dr Loy See Ling (Junior Principal Investigator, Reproductive Medicine, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital), Dr Saumya Jamuar (Senior Consultant, Genetics Service, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital) and Dr Yeo Joo Guan (Vice-Chair (Research), SingHealth Duke-NUS Paediatrics Academic Clinical Programme) as they share insights across various themes in maternal and child health research including metabolic health, genetics and immunology. The Q&A will be facilitated by Prof Jerry Chan who is the Director of SingHealth Duke-NUS Maternal and Child Health Research Institute. 

The Thought Leaders Series (TLS) is SB's annual event that emphasizes the importance of needs-driven innovation, particularly in Asia. Through an ‘in-conversation’ style forum, the distinguished speakers illuminate international perspectives on the challenges and future of the medical technology industry. Our past TLS drew more than 200 participants representing all stakeholders of the MedTech ecosystem in Singapore and several international delegates from other countries - the US, Japan, and South Korea.TLS will return this year with a focus on our clinical theme of the year - Renal Medicine. The TLS will provide a platform for leaders in both public and private stakeholders to foster conversations around local and global trends in renal medicine. Among the speakers will be international and local domain experts who will deliver a keynote presentation and participate in a panel discussion.

The workshop aims to equip project managers (whether part-time or full-time) of translational health & medtech projects at TRL 3 -4 and project budgets of S$250k – 750k with the knowledge and skills to develop key project objectives and deliverables, recognize and develop the multidisciplinary clinical, technical and business project activities across a range of medical devices and recognize and manage projects risks by aligning with multi-disciplinary stakeholders; and to develop a detailed budget and resourcing plan.In this programme, participants will foster attributes to become resourceful and analytical, with the ability to independently plan and manage project resources and obtain buy-in amongst multi-disciplinary internal and external stakeholders to drive a TRL 3 – 4 health and medtech project towards completion in a timely and effective manner.

This 2-day business implementation workshop aims to provide participants with an overview on how to take a Health and MedTech Innovation from project to market. Participants will learn from esteemed practitioners in the industry on topics related to technology development in tandem with collecting real-world evidence, as well as basic operations relating to market access and adoption. At the end of this workshop, learners will be able to gain a holistic overview of bringing a health and medtech innovation from project to commercial adoption by developing IP, clinical, marketing and sales strategies, understanding the importance of health technology assessment, and the different strategies on how to strategically price, market and promote the adoption of a new healthcare innovation.
