Digitalising Maintenance Operations for Productivity Improvement* (16 HOURS)
INTRODUCTION
Digital transformation of maintenance management is one of the top priorities for most manufacturing and service engineering companies. However, for many companies, they face challenges due to the lack of skill set required for transitioning from paper-based management to digital-based management and resistance from the ground. To make a successful transformation, companies need the know-how of standardising data related to equipment failure and aligning data with the maintenance workflow to improve maintenance operations productivity.
This course aims to address the gaps by providing participants with knowledge on how to digitalise their maintenance operations and move towards Industry 4.0. It includes introductions of the basic functions of digital maintenance operation and setting up relevant data, such as checklists and error codes, to maximise the benefits of the digital platform. The latest technologies on digital platforms for maintenance management will be introduced. System data collected for maintenance operation and fault diagnosis and repair activities will be evaluated. The course also provides participants with hands-on experience as well as case studies for a better understanding of the process of this digital transformation and to gain confidence in adopting digital technologies. In particular, participants can bring the machine maintenance cases from their company for discussion and hands-on training.
About this Programme
To address the needs of industrial companies, the course consists of 2 full-day sessions for the understanding of the key functions and KPIs of maintenance management and hands-on practice on a digital platform
for maintenance management. At the end of the course, participants will gain confidence and skills in the
digital transformation process and understand the benefits of applying the digital platform for the
management of maintenance activities.
Participants will be able to:
- Prepare the equipment-related data for setting up the digital platform
- Use the basic functions of digital platforms to manage maintenance job orders
- Perform key data collection function on a maintenance management system app
- Evaluate maintenance KPIs with statistical data for smart decisions
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for operations and maintenance managers, engineers, equipment designers, process managers and project managers in industries such as precision engineering, electronics, aerospace, marine engineering, renewable energy, where there is a need to monitor the health of machines or organise maintenance activities for machines.
