Introduction

Manufacturing companies stay at the cutting edge by staying lean, agile and encourage innovation with reliable and low risks releases, making it possible to adapt continuous updates in line with user feedback, market shifts, and changes to business strategies. This process requires companies to adopt cybersecurity and the flexibility to integrate quickly and easily with smart manufacturing services in the area of industrial internet of things (IIoT), shopfloor automation, and other services in logistics and enterprise.

The Information Security layer provides safety in software deployment by constantly testing security policies and requirements. With a response time that is quick when a new vulnerability is identified and do timely patches.

Teams who adopt DevSecOps methodology drives the entire delivery process in an accelerated manner, while also improving the quality of software release. Teams responsible for testing, support, development and operations, work together as one delivery team. As technology advances at a rapid pace, the traditional approach to information security has struggled to keep up with the demands of the fast-paced development. This brought about the emergence of DevSecOps methodology - an extension of DevOps - which aims to remedy this by embracing security as an essential part of DevOps culture.

About the Programme

This programme consists of 5 full-day sessions covering theory and practical methods covering real-world manufacturing solutions for an in-depth understanding of DevSecOps Engineering and Automation concepts, practices and tools.

At the end of this programme, participants will be able to apply various software development life cycle practices (SDLC) to an agile environment, implement DevSecOps methodology, workflow and tools to the system and perform secure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) for on-premise and on cloud environments.

Who Should Attend

This programme is targeted at Delivery Managers, Configuration Managers, Project Leaders, Software Developers, Software Designers and others who need to implement DevSecOps Engineering and Automation methods in their projects. It is applicable for organisations integrating security into their DevOps framework and enhance the process seamlessly using the right DevSecOps tools and processes.

Course Outline

The programme employs the Learn-Practise-Implement™ (LPI™) pedagogy, where fundamental knowledge and principles taught will be reinforced with hands-on practices.

DevSecOps Automation Pipeline Tools on a Leading Cloud Platform
Agile Automation Security Tests and Checks in CI/CD using Leading Tools
Threat Model and Secure Build and Deployment Environment

Upon Completion of this Course

Electronic Statement of Attainment (SOA) certificates will be issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to participants who have attended and attained competency in the Singapore Skills Framework training modules.

Participants must also meet the following criteria to receive their SOAs:

Achieve at least 75% course attendance;
Take all assessments; and
Pass the course.

Pre-Requisites

Applicants should possess a degree in any discipline or a diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related working experience.
Applicants who do not have the required academic qualifications are still welcome to apply, but shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview for special approval.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Full Course Fee

The full course fee for this module is $4,000 before funding and prevailing GST.

Long Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) Holders

The LTVP+ scheme applies to lawful foreign spouses of Singapore Citizens with (i) at least one Singapore Citizen child or are expecting one from the marriage, or at least three years of marriage, and (ii) where the Singapore Citizen sponsor is able to support the family.

All LTVP+ holders can be identified with their green visit pass cards, with the word ‘PLUS’ printed on the back of the card.

¹ Under the Enhanced Training Support for Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) scheme (ETSS), subject to eligibility criteria shown below.

SMEs that meet all of the following eligibility criteria:

Registered or incorporated in Singapore
Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million

SME-sponsored Trainees:

Must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
Courses have to be fully paid for by the employer.
Trainee is not a full-time national serviceman.

Further Info: This scheme is intended for all organisations, including non-business entities not registered with ACRA e.g. VWOs, societies, etc. Only ministries, statutory boards, and other government agencies are NOT eligible under Enhanced Training Support for SMEs Scheme. Sole proprietorships which meet all of the above criteria are also eligible.

² Under the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES) for employer-sponsored and self-sponsored Singapore Citizens aged 40 years old and above.
