20 Nov 2013ARTC SEMINAR 2013ARTC hosted its first seminar- Challenging The Boundaries of Industry-Driven Collaboration event on the 20th of November 2013. Representatives from companies of various industrial sectors attended the seminar held at CleanTech One Atrium.With guest speakers, Dr Tan Geok Leng, Executive Director of SERC A*STAR, Mr Lim Kok Kiang Assistant Managing Director of EDB, Dr Hamid Mughal Director of Global Manufacturing Rolls-Royce plc, Mr Yoshihisa Yamanouchi General Manager for R&D Division of IHI and Mr Chang Thai Nam Vice-President for Discrete Automation & Motion Division of ABB, the audience was introduced to the benefits of industrial collaboration and the future of the manufacturing and remanufacturing industry. The guest speakers also touched on the importance of the adoption of remanufacturing processes to save resources and cost in the industrial supply chain.The event included a laboratory tour around ARTC’s premises after which the guests were left to network among themselves. The seminar successfully brought ARTC and the industrial partners closer and exposed more companies to the collaborative and unique model of ARTC.
