INDUSTRIAL TRANSFORMATION ASIA PACIFIC (ITAP) 2019

A*STAR’s Next Gen Hyper-Personalisation Manufacturing Line (NGHPL) programme was launched by DPM Heng at the recent Industrial Transformation Asia Pacific 2019 (ITAP) exhibition on 22-24 Oct 2019 at the Singapore Expo. This announcement represents A*STAR’s work in prepositioning technologies that would benefit companies. By leveraging ARTC’s and members’ expertise, the NGHPL aims to serve as a platform to spearhead the innovation of technologies to develop smart, flexible and integrated lines relevant to industry.

To showcase this, A*STAR developed a mini Hyper-Personalisation Line (HPL) to serve as a demonstration. Developed together with ARTC partners Arcstone, IHI, M8M, this scaled-down demonstration gave exhibition-goers an understanding the complexities of hyper-personalisation and how public-private partnerships collaborations are key to help tackle these complexities in manufacturing factories around the world.

This mini HPL consisted of I2R’s EDGE Analytics platform, IHPC’s Digital Twin with Engineering Simulation, IMRE’s Li-Fi, NMC’s Self Healing Self Diagnostic Sensor Network, SIMTech’s Last Mile Logistics and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) monitoring system, and ARTC’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The HPL showcases how A*STAR and the research community work with industry to develop and co-innovate solutions to enhance the manufacturing industry. ITAP is a HANNOVER MESSE event, Asia-Pacific's leading trade event for Industry 4.0 and saw over 18,000 participants representing more than 350 Manufacturers, MNCs, SMEs and Government Agencies.
