A*STAR ARTC participated in ROSCon 2025, held in Singapore in conjunction with ROS-Industrial (ROS-I) APAC Annual Summit and Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH).

The event brought together leading experts, researchers, and industry practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest trends, technologies, and applications in the global robotics ecosystem.

As part of the summit, A*STAR ARTC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Open Robotics, marking a significant milestone in advancing the Robotics Middleware Framework (RMF) and the launch of Elevate @ BCA Braddell Campus, a national sandbox initiative to accelerate RMF adoption. This collaboration reinforces ARTC’s commitment to driving robotics innovation, interoperability, and deployment in real-world industrial environments.

The event also featured insights from ARTC’s experts. Ms Maria Vergo, Head of Technology Portfolio Management, Tech-Biz Development at ARTC, presented “Global Pulse of ROS-Industrial: Innovations, Insights & Future Directions”, highlighting emerging trends in robotics, the importance of open-source collaboration, and strategies to enable sustainable and scalable adoption of robotic systems across industries.

Through these engagements, ARTC showcased its leadership in advancing applied robotics research and supporting Singapore’s National Robotics Programme. By collaborating with international partners, ARTC continues to contribute to the development of interoperable, AI-enabled robotics solutions that enhance productivity, flexibility, and safety in manufacturing and urban environments.

The ROSCon 2025 and ROS-I APAC Summit provided an excellent platform for ARTC to exchange ideas with global robotics leaders, foster partnerships, and strengthen its role as a key enabler of industrial transformation in Singapore and beyond.
